Search of malfunctions in separate knots

Pressure regulator

For pressure measurement the corresponding manometre (V.A.G 1318) with the locking crane and the adapter is required.

Nominal size idling nearby 3,5 bar; in the vacuum hose which has been removed from a regulator of pressure, nearby 4 bar.

Is minimum supported pressure is direct after deenergizing of the engine a minimum 3 bar; through 10 mines nearby 2,5 bar.

Check of valves of injection

Here the socket (1) valves of injection (2) is disconnected. The indicator of pressure with a light-emitting diode carries out check of giving of pressure on injection valves.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check of giving of pressure: dismantle facing of a compartment of the engine with working volume 1,6 l (the head Engines); at the engine with working volume 1,8 l in the beginning pull upwards for back edge a cover over injection valves, then take out it from the forward party.
  2. Disconnect sockets of valves of injection. For this purpose wring out on their underside wire clamps.
  3. Connect to contacts of the disconnected socket the indicator of pressure with a light-emitting diode.
  4. Let your assistant will turn the engine a starter.
  5. The light-emitting diode of the indicator of pressure should flash, otherwise defect in a wire brought to valves of injection, or in the block of management Motronic.
  6. Check of valves of injection: disconnect all sockets of valves of injection.
  7. Connect an ohmmeter to both contacts of the first valve of injection.
  8. Nominal size: 14–16 W (the engine 1,6) and 11–13 W (the engine 1,8).
  9. Deeper check (a kind of a stream and tightness):
  10. Dismantle injection valves together with a distributive tube – see in the head above. But sockets of wires remain connected, and gasoline pipe lines screwed.
  11. Close resembling stoppers of an aperture in injection valves.
  12. Lower injection valves in four measured glasses.
  13. Let your assistant within several seconds turns the engine a starter: an injection stream should be identical at all valves. Then the picture of a kind of a stream is perfectly in order.
  14. Disconnect all sockets of valves of injection.
  15. Switch off ignition and then include it approximately on 5 with: from each valve should act no more than 2 drops. In this case valves are tight.

At турбодвигателе the gauge of temperature of soaked up air (2) takes places on an inlet collector behind knot of management throttle заслонкой (1).

At the left: with working volume 1,8 l with climatic installation are available for this engine two gauges of temperature on a flange behind a head of the block of cylinders. Figure "1" designates the gauge of climatic installation. In figure "2" – the gauge of system of ignition/injection and the temperature indicator.

At the engine with working volume 1,6 l the temperature gauge is on the same place.

At the left: the information on an arrangement of contacts of a three-polar socket is used for check of a measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air in безнаддувных engines with working volume 1,6 and 1,8 l.

On the right: at турбодвигателя with working volume 1,8 l the measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air is integrated into the case of the air filter. The socket (2) is accessible from above.

Check of the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid

The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid is the device with double function which in one pair contacts provides with the information system of ignition/injection, in other pair contacts – the combined device. Here we check the knot connected with system of ignition/injection.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a gauge socket in a tube of giving of a cooling liquid behind a head of the block of cylinders.
  2. Connect an ohmmeter to contacts 1 and 3 sockets of the gauge.
  3. Consider resistance size at the cooled down engine and a room temperature (nearby 20 С).
  4. Nominal size: 1,5–3,0 clod.
  5. If the nominal size is received, the gauge is perfectly in order.

Check of the gauge of temperature of soaked up air

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a socket on the gauge.
  2. Connect an ohmmeter to contacts of a socket of the gauge.
  3. Consider resistance size at the cooled down engine and a room temperature.
  4. Nominal size: 1,6–2,8 clod.
  5. If the nominal size is received, the gauge is perfectly in order.

Measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air

By own strength it is possible to check up pressure giving to a measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air and signal passage on wires to the management block. If that and another is perfectly in order, at defect in this knot (interview the computer) the measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air is considered faulty:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a socket on a measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air.
  2. Look numbering of uvulas of contacts in drawing.
  3. Pressure check: at the engine capacity of 74 kw and 92 kw connect диодную a test lamp between the plug 3 on a three-polar socket of the connected wire and "weight" (the engine block).
  4. At турбодвигателе capacity of 110 kw диодную a test lamp connect between the plug 3 on a two-port socket of the connected wire and weight (the engine block).
  5. Let your assistant will turn the engine a starter (the engine can even be got): the light-emitting diode should flash, in this case pressure moves.
  6. Check of passage of a signal: switch off ignition. Disconnect a socket "And" on the management block.
  7. By means of an ohmmeter check up conductivity of wires:
  8. With engines capacity of 74 kw and 92 kw from штырькового a conclusion 1 on a socket of the block of management "And" to contact 2 on a three-polar socket of a measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air. Besides, from штырькового a conclusion 9 on a socket of the block of management "And" to contact 3 on a three-polar socket of a measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air.
  9. With турбодвигателем capacity of 110 kw from штырькового a conclusion 1 on a socket of the block of management "And" to contact 4 on a two-port socket of a measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air. Besides, from штырькового a conclusion 9 on a socket of the block of management "And" to contact 2 on a two-port socket of a measuring instrument of a stream of fresh air.

Dismantle of valves of injection

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Dismantle facing of an impellent compartment of the engine with working volume 1,6 l (the head Engines); with the engine of 1,8 l in the beginning pull facing for back edge upwards, then take out it from the forward party.
  2. Disconnect a vacuum hose from a regulator of pressure of fuel.
  3. For pressure decrease open for short time a cover of a fuel tank.
  4. Loosen the screw connection submitting топливопровода. Be cautious! Residual pressure! Opening the pipeline, cover with its rag. Let following fuel drips in a rag.
  5. Dismantle рециркуляционный a gasoline pipe line.
  6. Disconnect sockets of valves of injection. For this purpose wring out at them on an underside wire clamps.
  7. At engines with working volume 1,8 l disconnect a socket of the gauge of the Hall.
  8. Unscrew both fixing bolts of a distributive tube of fuel.
  9. Remove a distributive tube of fuel together with injection valves.
  10. If it is necessary to dismantle one valve of injection remove a fixing collar and take out the valve from a distributive tube.
  11. At installation track that sealing rings and rubber rings of round section have been replaced.
  12. At replacement of a rubber ring of round section at all do not wring out on the valve a plastic cap.
  13. Before installation oil all rubber details. Insert valves together with a distributive tube.
