|

The assistant should hold a heavy cowl before fixing bolts (1 and 2) a cowl will be weakened. |
Dismantle
Installation of the removed cowl can for itself be facilitated, if before демонтажем to note position of hinges. It is better to make a waterproof felt-tip pen.
|
|
- There, where is, ослабьте fastening of wires of a lantern for illumination of a cowl, heating of sprays of system of washing, and also a connection tape to weight.
|
|
Council: if the same cowl at вытягивании wires fix on its end a cord is established. Stretch a cord with a wire through a cowl. The cord remains in a cowl and will help to involve a wire at installation. |
- Disconnect a hose of system of washing of glasses.
- Remove from the top fixing finger or from both fingers a lock clip газонаполненного the shock-absorber.
- Loosen the bolts of hinges on the right and at the left.
- Cowl too heavy to unscrew it alone. Therefore hold a cowl with the assistant with right and on the left side.
- Now squeeze out fixing fingers газонаполненного the shock-absorber and remove the shock-absorber.
- Already weakened bolts completely unscrew a hand and remove a cowl.
- If it is required, it is possible to unscrew cowl hinges.

|
Council: All газонаполненные cannot be thrown out shock-absorbers simply, they need to be brought in workshop Audi for "decontamination". |
|
|
At correct installation the cowl should adjoin to these shock-absorbers (marksman) densely. For adjustment of height the shock-absorber is screwed up or unscrewed. |
|
|
Figures "1" and 2 designate undersides of bolts which should be weakened for adjustment of the lock of a cowl on height. |
|
|
If запорная скоба a cowl enters into the lock not precisely it can be shifted after easing of bolts with шестигранными heads (1–3). |

The cable деблокировки a cowl ahead enters into the cowl lock.
By figures are designated: 1 – a cable cover; 2 – a countersupport of a cover of a cable; 3 – the lever of the lock of a cowl; 4 – a nipple on the cable end. |

To replace a cowl cable, ослабьте bolts with шестигранными heads (1 and 2). The cable (4) is on sale only together with the handle (3). |
Cowl adjustment
When the cowl is closed, the distance from it to both wings should be identical (about 3 mm), and on a first line it should be in one plane with wings. Besides, adjustment on height too should be correct.

- For adjustment in a longitudinal direction bolts above between the hinge and a cowl are weakened.
- For lateral adjustment bolts between the hinge and a body are weakened.
- Shift a cowl cover in the necessary direction and tighten bolts.
- On a first line adjustment of height of a cowl is carried out as follows:
- Screw up persistent shock-absorbers on the right and at the left to metal edge.
- Loosen the fixing bolts of the lock of a cowl also shift the lock how it is necessary, downwards or upwards.
- At this time check up installation on height at the closed cowl: the cowl upper edge should be ahead at one height with wings.
- Again tighten fixing bolts of the lock of a cowl.
- Pay attention to that запорная скоба has entered into a lock aperture. If is not present, запорную the plate can be shifted sideways and in a longitudinal direction after easing of three fixing bolts.
- The persistent shock-absorber unscrew until the cowl will not cease to shake in the closed position. To reach correct adjustment, some attempts are required.

Replacement of a cable of a cowl
|
|
- Open a cowl.
- Hang out from the lock a nipple on the cable end.
- Also hang out a cable cover.
- Take out a cover of a cable from arms. In the field of a lining of a cowl it is laid in a lining flute.
|
|
Dismantle a reception pocket at the left under a control panel (the head Salon).
|
|
- Unscrew in feet of the driver deblocking handle.
- Involve a cowl cable in salon. Be cautious, "the obstinate" cable can cause damage of eyes!
- Stretch a new cable from within through a rubber nozzle, track a correct arrangement nozzles (dense).
- Screw deblocking handle.
- Enclose a cable cover in dredging of a lining of a cowl, and also in arms on a face-to-face part of the car.
- Stretch a cable through a countersupport of the lock and hang a cover.
- Hang on the lock a nipple on the cable end.
