Check of level of oil in a mechanical transmission

In a transmission lubricant means is spent not how in the engine, and can follow only through not tight sites. If on the case of a transmission there is no the dirty crust impregnated with oil it is possible to consider that oil has not acted and, accordingly, is in a box. Otherwise it is necessary to check up oil level.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Lift and prop up the car in horizontal position.
  2. Unscrew a bolt with internal шестигранником in 17 mm.
  3. If already thus pours out a little трансмиссионного oils, – oil level is perfectly in order.
  4. Insert a finger into a carving aperture and to the touch check up, whether the greasing liquid reaches an aperture – oil level is sufficient.
  5. If it is even less than oil, add трансмиссионного oils of the necessary grade at petrol filling station or in car-care centre.
  6. Audi orders oils of a class of viscosity SAE 75 W-90 with specification G 052 911. Unlike трансмиссионных the oils which were filled in in older models Audi, in this case it is a question of synthetic oil.

 Council: Independently to fill in very dense трансмиссионное oil by means of a funnel and a long hose (even if it is warmed up) – the present test of patience. Therefore it is not advised it to do. It is better to use special доливочными tanks with the connected hose.
