Letter designations of the engine and its number
Engine letter designations are the information which is almost always asked at purchase of spare parts. Sometimes interest represents also engine number (at changes during manufacture).
The carrier of data on the car
Under a luggage carrier rug there is a white label on which all data which are important, for example, at purchase of spare parts, it are printed:
- Identification number of the car;
- Engine letter designation;
- Transmission letter designation;
- Number of a used paint;
- Numbers of the equipment of an additional complete set.
The copy of this label is also in the directory on service in a pocket for the car documentation (the maintenance instruction and so forth).
At the left: letter designations (arrow) in the four-cylinder engine with working volume 1,8 l are stamped ahead at the left on a head of the block of cylinders.
On the right: all number of the engine ("magnifier" in a photo) is at all four-cylinder engines in a hard-to-reach spot on a left-hand side above on the motor block.

At the left: in the six-cylinder engine the letter designation and number can be read after cover removal on the right ahead on the engine (marksman). If it is necessary, remove a rust.
On the right: the carrier of data on the car (marksman) is pasted sideways in a niche for a spare wheel.
