Warmed back glass

The point of weight (arrow) of warmed back glass and the aerial is in back glass on the right back rack of a roof. It is accessible after dismantle of facing of a rack of a roof.

Heating of back glass joins and switched off directly by means of the switch on a control panel. The current at the included ignition arrives to the switch from the relay of unloading of H-contact through a safety lock in a white/yellow wire. The electronic scheme of inclusion with the timer which is integrated into the switch of warmed back glass, disconnects current giving to glass approximately in 10 minutes

Search of malfunctions

If warmed back glass remains cold, following possibilities are considered:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Defective safety lock.
  2. The defective switch. Dismantle (as it is described in this chapter) and check up an electric control lamp, whether there is a pressure in a white wire at the included ignition and the pressed switch.
  3. Dismantle both coverings of a rack of a roof near to back glass. It is easier to make it after dismantle of a reception pocket in a back part of the car and lateral facing of a seat.
  4. Check up bringing wire to back glass: by means of a control lamp establish, whether there is a pressure behind in a white submitting wire at the left on glass. (It also concerns cars with the aerial in back glass.)
  5. On the right rack of a roof check up, whether contact of glass to weight is perfectly in order.
  6. The damaged threads of heating can be repaired a current-carrying silver varnish which is on sale in shops of the accompanying goods.

 Council: Three current-carrying paths above on warmed back glass concern the aerial and consequently do not heat up.
